Andrea Chiara Mangano grew up in Sicily, Italy, where they studied Philosophy, History, Grammar, and Literature. There they also won various regional dance sport competitions (Ballroom and Choreo) and became a published, award-winning poet with "La Balena di Ghiaccio".  They were a self-taught artist until they moved back to the States in 2016, where they graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Animation and VFX.

 

Their work in Cowabunga included rough animation, clean up, and ink and paint.

 

They choose the visual arts as their career because they see the power of media, how much it can teach people about cultures and situations different than their own. They want to help create a more inclusive media environment where all people can feel valued in our global community.
